At My Espresso we use freshly roasted La’vita Coffee because we think it’s the best tasting coffee around!!
La’vita
Coffee is a specialty Coffee Roaster based in Palmerston North and run
by Corey Thompson who has been roasting coffee for over 7years. Like a
lot of coffee roasters, Corey started in his garage on a homemade
coffee roaster which he still uses from time to time.
About 9 years ago, once he had perfected the Espresso Blend, Corey and his
wife decided to take things more seriously, forming the business
La’vita Coffee. La’vita Coffee now use a commercial Toper Coffee
Roaster and supply coffee to businesses and cafe’s throughout the
Manawatu region and beyond.
Due to other work and family
commitments, Corey roasts most of the Coffee in the evening. Depending
on demand, coffee is generally roasted each Wednesday. His eventual goal is to run the ‘Espresso Bar and Roastery’ full time.
When
you order your fresh coffee from My Espresso it will generally be
roasted to order at the next planned roast. Depending on when you place
your order, this may be some days away; if this is the case you will be
contacted by My Espresso and a solution discussed.
Our
policy at My Espresso is to dispatch fresh coffee to our customers
within 36 hrs of it being roasted, with it ideally arriving at the
delivery address no more than 72 hours after being roasted*. Therefore,
if you place your order with My Espresso on a Thursday, you may receive
some coffee that was roasted the night before, for example.
All
La’vita Coffee carries a ‘Roasted On’ date so you can be sure of it’s
freshness. It is packaged in a sealed bag with a one way valve, and a
resealable ‘zip’ to maintain maximum freshness once opened.
We
use Courierpost for our fresh coffee deliveries who deliver to most
main centers and towns around NZ on the next business day, meaning your
coffee will arrive fresh. For Rural addresses we will send via NZ Post,
this is a targeted 1-3 day service depending on locations. We don’t
charge a RD surcharge.
Top Tip: To ensure you get the absolute freshest coffee for the weekend, place your order with My Espresso before 3pm on Wednesday.
